Collingwood running defender John Noble is reportedly seeking a trade to a club outside of Victoria, with the Gold Coast Suns emerging as a likely destination. Noble has expressed his desire to be closer to his family, with his twin brother, Mark, currently residing in Queensland.
Collingwood’s Innovation and List Management representative, Justin Leppitsch, released a statement:
“John informed us today that he would like to explore a trade for next season to be closer to his family. While John is still under contract, we recognize the importance of family and will consider this during the trade period.”
According to *The Age*, the Suns are ready to offer Noble a four-year deal, as they seek a dynamic defender and have also shown interest in Daniel Rioli.
Noble, 27, joined Collingwood as a mid-season pick in 2019 and is under contract until the end of 2026. He has played 112 games for the club but was notably left out of the finals despite playing every match of the home and away season for the 2023 premiership side.
