Despite Michigan’s challenging season, they secured a major win in recruiting with the commitment of five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola. Standing at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Babalola is part of the 2025 class and is expected to join the Wolverines next fall.
He had other top schools in consideration, including Stanford, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Missouri, but ultimately chose Michigan. Babalola cited the strong sense of family, academics, and player development as key factors that drew him to the program.
Ranked No. 21 overall in the country and the No. 1 player in Kansas, Babalola, who attends Blue Valley Northwest High School, is considered one of the most promising prospects despite being relatively new to football. He initially focused on basketball but has quickly become a top football recruit, with high expectations for his future development.
